The Sacred Heart of Jesus Badge is made from wool with the image of the Sacred Heart attached. This is a great way to always keep the image of The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus with you. This badge measures 2-1/2" H x 1-7/8" W.

The tradition of wearing a small cloth image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was first initiated by
Blessed Margaret Mary Alacoque, who herself made and handed them out to followers of Christ.
They were made of a small piece of woolen cloth, on which was a picture of the Heart of Jesus.
Originally it was worn as a badge and later it was also worn like a scapular on cords.
Our Lord revealed to St. Margaret Mary His wish for the people to have an image of
His Sacred Heart always with them to be venerated and honored.
